Welcome to :
"La Petite Occasion"

This time, we’re coming up with an article that we’ll call “hors-série” since we won’t be talking about coffee or drinks… (well, almost 😎)

We wanted to present our brand-new project “La Petite Occasion” 🍷

L’Occasion Café and Petit Velours are teaming up for a brand new format: they’re opening in wine bar format on Friday and Saturday evenings at L’Occasion Café, 188 rue de Vesle !

The café will be transformed on weekend evenings to make way for a selection of wines sourced directly from partner producers and/or vigneron.nes from different wine-growing regions of France: Champagne, Burgundy, Languedoc, Bordeaux and others, by the glass or bottle, on the premises or to take away. 🍇

Softs and local beers will also be available, and they’ll be offering a menu of light snacks. A gourmet and local offer, with vegetarian options: homemade spreads, charcuterie and cheese boards to share, roasted camemberts will be available among others. 🍽️😋🌱

The collaboration

It’s a brand new project for us, and one we hope you’ll enjoy! Let us tell you a little more about the birth of La Petite Occasion… ✨

La Petite Occasion was born out of a partnership between Erick, the manager of Occasion Café, and his friend Pierrick, an oenologist, wine engineer and wine merchant from Reims better known as Petit Velours. Indeed, the two friends organize monthly “oenological afterworks” at l’Occasion Café, dedicated to sharing and the secrets of wine tasting, which you yourself may have already attended ! 💪

But they wanted to go one step further with a concept that will open its doors as early as this weekend, on Friday May 3. 😌

➡️ Why the name? Because we want to be your little opportunity (“la petite occasion in French) to get together with friends and enjoy quality wines in a relaxed atmosphere (and yes, it’s also a little nod to the names of our two companies – how classy is that? 😎)

This collaboration starts with the intention of enjoying a good glass of wine without pretense or headaches. 🥰 Every evening, Pierrick will be on hand to advise you and provide short explanatory sheets on the basics of oenology, drawing inspiration from the many workshops he’s held at Occasion Café and other venues.

We hope to see you at the official opening on Friday, May 3, but also at future editions, since “La Petite Occasion” will be open to you every weekend 😉 for a good drink with friends.

But of course, L’Occasion Café remains L’Occasion Café, and you can find us all week long (Monday to Tuesday and Friday to Saturday) to enjoy a good coffee or hot drink… We’re always delighted to welcome you for a good time and a chat about coffee 😄❤️

See you soon at l’Occasion Café (or La Petite Occasion)! ✅
