THE BENEFITS OF COFFEE

There are many reasons to drink coffee, not just because it tastes good

As a coffee shop, we felt it was important to mention the benefits of coffee ☕️.

Coffee has many health benefits. So drink coffee! (And not just because it tastes good)

COFFEE IMPROVES YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

The first reason why you should drink coffee (after taste, of course) is that it contains lots of antioxidants, such as polyphenols. By drinking coffee, you provide your body with an additional source of antioxidants that can boost your immune system’s defense. In this way, it will help your body and cells function better, prevent disease and keep you healthy in general. 💪

COFFEE STIMULATES YOUR MIND

Caffeine is good for certain cognitive functions, including memory. Many people find they’re better able to concentrate on mental tasks after drinking coffee! When you drink coffee, caffeine is absorbed into the bloodstream and travels to the brain, where it can have several beneficial effects on brain function.

On the one hand, coffee increases alertness and concentration: which can help you stay focused and alert. As a result, the more aware and awake you are, the better you’ll manage your stress! Chronic stress can weaken the immune system, and by reducing stress, coffee can indirectly promote immune health. 😌

Finally, caffeine can help reduce feelings of mental fatigue, which can be particularly useful during long periods of work or study. It can help combat drowsiness and increase wakefulness. Our favorite beverage stimulates our central nervous system, and that’s just great !

COFFEE AGAINST HEADACHES

In fact, the caffeine contained in coffee is a natural vasoconstrictor, and so helps lower blood pressure and prevents your vein muscles from tightening and becoming tighter: which causes headaches in particular. 👍

So, when headaches are linked to tension or dilated blood vessels, coffee presents itself as a means of relieving the pain. When you feel the first signs of a headache, consuming a small amount of coffee can help relieve the pain.

We remind you that this advice applies to normal coffee consumption: 1 to 2 coffees a day (this is an average, as each individual has a different tolerance). Of course, coffee does not replace medical advice ! ☝🏻

In short, coffee is more than just a stimulating drink: it offers a range of health benefits when incorporated into a balanced lifestyle.

We reassure you! You don’t need to have a headache or a severe case of fatigue to visit us at Occasion Café! We’ll be there to serve you the coffee you crave! ☕️
